One of the special children whose wish came true when she spent a day in the life of a princess is Maya.
Little Maya, who has always dreamed of being Cinderella for a day, is 8 years old and fighting a Brain Tumour. In June last year her wish came true, thanks to Make-A-Wish.
During a magical day out with her family, Maya met an enchanting Fairy Godmother and handsome Prince Charming. Once dressed as Cinderella, Maya travelled with her family in a horse and carriage that were specially decorated in her favourite colours.
Maya had an enchanting, fairy tale day dressed as a princess - one that she and her family will always treasure.

MATT'S ACTION PACKED DAY
14 year old Matt from Newcastle, who has Ependymona, is an extreme sports enthusiast whose wish was to go zorbing. So Make-A-Wish arranged for Matt to visit Zorb South in Dorset with his parents and sister.
Time after time Matt zorbed down the hill in the huge inflatable ball, even when it was partly filled with water! Matt's parents and his sister also joined in the fun and had a go.
It was a crazy adrenaline-filled day they will always remember.

With Fairy's help, Make-A-Wish Foundation UK has reached an incredible milestone. This year, the charity made its 5,000th wish come true!
To celebrate this fantastic achievement, were asking for your help in naming a star which we will then donate to the charity.
Thanks to your generous support, together we've raised over £370,000 / €468,000 during our 4 year partnership with Make-A-Wish.
Our campaigns have helped many children's wishes come true, whether they dreamt of being a policeman or wanted to meet a celebrity.
Whatever the wish, together we've helped them and their families forget their problems and feel on top of the world.
Fairy helped Make-A-Wish reach its goal to grant 10 wishes a week throughout 2008, by continuing the search for Britain's most Helpful Hands.
Celebrities such as Dame Judi Dench, Sir Steve Redgrave and Jodi Kidd also took part by kindly donating their hand-prints in the Celebrity Hands campaign, which helped raise more than £90,000 / €113,000 for Make-A-Wish.
We searched high and low to find the most Helpful Hands in the country. Thousands of people took part, nominating loved ones for their heart-warming selflessness.
The lucky winners went on to enjoy one of 12 magical Fairy Wishes, including fantastic outings and trips.
Thanks to the people who took part in our Advent Calendar game. Over £75,000 / €94,000 was raised for Make-A-Wish Foundation in the UK and Ireland in 2006.
With the help of celebrities like Myleene Klass, Ainsley Harriott and Ben Fogle, Fairy's Walking for Wishes campaign received plenty of press coverage and support.
Together with the many walkers who took part in the charity walk at Greenwich Park, or those who organised their own walks, we managed to raise over £60,000 / €75,000 for Make-A-Wish.
Our Dishes for Wishes campaign raised an impressive £50,000 / €63,000 for Make-A-Wish. Thank you to all of you who participated in 1 mile charity walks on Boxing Day.
